Photograph is as long as a stereocard but is a single image. This is a studio portrait of the students at the Ebenezer school. All the students are white. All the girls are in white dresses the boys in jackets. The left margin says Leisentrings, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and a stamp portraying a distinguised man’s face has been affixed to the upper right corner of the photo. Someone has identified “Gertie, Dutten and Campbell” in pen on the left margin.
Back: someone has written in pen “Ebenezer School taken in the spring of 1886 Emma” and under this can be seen writing in pencil saying something difficult to decipher but might be: “Emma Riggs Teacher” The handwriting is very shaky.
