“For these things we fight” Negro Labor Council

A pamphlet documenting the Keynote speaker William R. Hood at the opening session of the Founding Convention of the National Negro Labor Council, Cincinnati, Ohio, October 27, 1951. The pamphlet has a photo and brief biography of Hood and a full text of his speech “Uncle Tom is Dead!”
It has several articles and a political cartoon reprinted from Paul Robeson’s Newspaper — Freedom. It describes “The Pathway to Peace” and includes a “Program of Action” It ends with a “Statement of Principles Constitution Preamble.”
